Reventioned is a free, private “everything app” — encrypted chat, a social feed, a buy/sell marketplace and Lightning payments in one place. It opens in your browser, installs to your home screen in one tap, and needs no phone number or email.

How it works (in plain English)
Most messaging apps keep your account on the company’s servers and tie it to your phone number. Reventioned works differently:
- Your account is a key made on your device. When you start, the app creates a private key for you. There is no username/password stored on our side, because there is no “our side”.
- Messages travel over the open Nostr network. Nostr is a public protocol: independent servers called relays pass messages between apps. Nobody owns it, so no single company can lock you out or sell your data.
- Private messages are sealed. Direct and group messages use Nostr’s “gift wrap” encryption (NIP-17), so relays can’t read them and can’t see who sent them.
- Your data lives on your device. The app works offline and stores your chats locally. A 24-word recovery phrase restores your whole account on any device.
Because it all runs in the browser, there’s nothing to download from an app store: open reventioned.com, and on your phone choose “Add to Home Screen” to install it like a normal app.

- Nostr users who want a client a non-technical friend or family member can actually use.
Honest limits
It’s new. The network of people using Reventioned is small compared with WhatsApp or Telegram — though you can talk to anyone on Nostr, whatever app they use.
You hold the key. There’s no “forgot password”. If you lose your device and your 24-word recovery phrase, nobody can recover the account. Write the phrase down.
Payments need a wallet. Reventioned doesn’t hold your money. You connect a Lightning wallet you control.
Public is public. Posts on the feed are public, like any social network. Only chats are private — the app always shows which space you’re in.
