The short version. There is no Reventioned account and no Reventioned
server holding your messages. Your identity is a cryptographic key created on your device
and stored there. We do not ask for your name, email address or phone number, and we
cannot read your private messages.
1. What we do not collect
We do not collect or store: your name, email address, phone number, contacts, precise
location, advertising identifiers, or the content of your private messages. There is no
sign-up form, because there are no accounts.
2. Your identity and keys
When you first open Reventioned, your device generates a Nostr keypair. The private key
is held in your browser's local storage on your own device and is never transmitted to us.
Your 24-word recovery phrase is shown once, to you, and is never sent anywhere. If you lose
it and clear your device data, your identity cannot be recovered by us or anyone else.
3. How messages travel
Reventioned is built on the open Nostr network. Private messages are end-to-end encrypted
on your device and wrapped so that relays cannot read their contents or see who they are
addressed to. They are then passed through public relays operated by independent third
parties, currently including relay.damus.io, nos.lol,
relay.primal.net, relay.snort.social, nostr.mom, and
our own relay.reventioned.com.
Those relays are not operated by us (except our own) and have their own policies. In the
normal course of carrying traffic, a relay can observe your IP address and the timing and
size of the data you send. We have no control over the logging practices of third-party
relays.
4. What is public by design
Feed posts, your profile (display name, photo, bio) and marketplace listings are
public. They are broadcast to relays and are readable by anyone, including
people using other Nostr apps. Treat anything you post publicly as permanently public.
5. Photos and files
Images you attach are uploaded to media.reventioned.com, which we operate, and
are served from there so recipients can load them. Files can also be fetched from third-party
media hosts referenced by content you view.
6. Notifications
If you turn on notifications, your browser creates a push subscription which is stored by
our notification service so alerts can be delivered to your device. It contains no personal
details. Turning notifications off removes it.
7. Payments
The wallet connects to a Lightning wallet you already control, using Nostr Wallet Connect.
Reventioned does not hold, custody, transmit or have access to your funds, and does not
receive your wallet credentials. Payments are made by your own wallet, not by us.
8. The AI assistant
The assistant is optional and off unless you enable it. If you supply your own Anthropic
API key, it is stored locally in your browser and requests go directly from your device to
Anthropic. Your key is never sent to us, and we do not see those conversations.
9. Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views in aggregate. It is cookie-free, does
not fingerprint visitors and does not build a profile of individual users. We use it only to
see roughly how many people visit.
10. Children
Reventioned is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect
information from them.
11. Deleting your data
Your data lives on your device. Uninstalling the app, or clearing the site's storage,
erases your identity, messages and settings permanently. Please note that anything already
published to public relays — public posts, profile details, listings — may continue to exist
on relays we do not control, and we cannot guarantee its removal.
12. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will change with it.
